I came across the Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat while searching on Amazon.com for a new car seat for my daughter, who's expecting her third child. I liked this one because it can seat a baby from 20 lbs, up to a child of 100 lbs--longer than most of the other car seats I saw. And this seat is No. 1 in Amazon's bestselling car seats.

Also, there are several colors of this car seat available, so it can be suited for either a boy or girl,if you don't know which the expecting mom is having, or you can get a pink version just for your baby girl, if you do know!

For children from 20 to 65 lbs. this has an extended 5 point harness, protecting your child by holding them in place very well, but comfortably, too. It can convert to a high back belt positioning booster for children from 30 to 100 lbs, or a backless booster for children from 40 to 100 lbs.

It's extremely durable, too, with a steel reinforced frame.

The Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat meets or exceeds the US Safety Standards, and the crash force standard is approximately twice the required amount. It has also been tested for Extreme Car Interior Temperatures, and has EPS energy-absorbing foam which supplies added security, and is more comfortable for your child.

Another feature that I really like about this seat are the dual holders on each armrest--one for a cup, and one for snacks to keep baby occupied on long rides.
