KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer--One of the best mixers available!
61KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer
If you are looking for a new mixer, or searching for the perfect gift for someone who loves to cook and bake, then you will want to consider the KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer.
Includes a handy "Soft Start" feature
This all metal-constructed stand mixer has a powerful 575-watt motor, which means it can churn right through heavy batches of bread dough, up to 14 cups of flour, or even 8 pounds of mashed potatoes! It has an Auto Shut Off to protect the motor if overloaded, and also has an electronic speed sensor to maintain an even mixing speed.
With 10 speeds, it also has a "Soft Start" feature that gently accelerates to the selected speed, to help keep liquid ingredients from splattering, or dry ingredients from "exploding" into clouds at start-up...a common occurence with other mixers.
Other features!
This comes with a multipurpose hub with a hinged cover that flips open for easily installing attachments, and a bowl lift to raise the 6-quart stainless-steel mixing bowl into the mixing position. This model does not come with a tilt up head.
Also included with the KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer is a wire whip, burnished flat beater, spiral dough hook, and a pouring shield. It's available in several different colors, with a satin-pearl finish--a beautiful and useful addition to any kitchen!

I have a kitchen aid and I love it. My sister-in-law has one and her kids fight over who's going to get it when she dies. ha
My granddaughter is getting married and that's what we're going to get her. Hopefully someday she will cook.
